A highlight of each Regional Conference is the opportunity to show our support for the four Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in Michigan.

 

Miracle Child Mila

Each year, we have the joy of honoring a child whose life was greatly impacted by a Children's Miracle Network Hospital and this year is no exception.

Mila was due May 2, 2015, but she was born on January 10. Doctors referred to her as a “micro preemie” due to her premature arrival and her weight of only 1 pound, 10 ounces. Although she was tiny, Mila reached all her milestones and was incredibly fierce. After 135 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Beaumont Hospital, Mila was finally able to go home.

Today, Mila is a happy, healthy 9-year-old who has not only reached her milestones, but is surpassing them. Thanks to occupational and physical therapy she receives at Beaumont and a specially adapted bike from CMN’s Bike Day program, Mila is more active than ever. She loves singing and recently completed her first short solo in her third grade concert.

Donations to CMNH like yours helped to change the future for Mila. As a micro-premie in the NICU at Beaumont Children's, Mila received state-of-the-art care utilizing specialized neonatal equipment purchased by CMN like Giraffe OmniBed Carestations, Carescape Monitors, and High Intensity Bili Lights. Her parents were also cared for with Kangaroo Chairs and Rockers, allowing them to rock Mila, and rest when she rested.

 

Silent Auction

RC24 will feature a Silent Auction benefitting our four local CMN Hospitals. Offices, Associates, Sponsors, and Partners are encouraged to bring item donations, dropping them off Thursday afternoon or early Friday morning. Items that typically receive the highest bids include trips, unique experiences, out-of-the-ordinary RE/MAX branded items, and dazzling gift baskets.
